A market share of approximately 20%

In 2002, Mr. Hussam Al-Kharafi and Ghazi Al-Omar launched Automak as a Kuwaiti limited liability company under the authenticated notarized contract No. 44651 and registered in the Commercial Register under No. 87711 dated 4 February 2002. On March 25, 2008, the company was transformed into a closed shareholding company and renamed as Automak Automotive Co. Despite the intense competition in this sector, Automak has succeeded throughout the 15 years since its inception in 2002 to position itself as one of the most important companies in the Kuwaiti car rental sector, acquiring a market share of approximately 20%

The Future (sub-heading)

A planned and steady expansion Now, Automak is on the verge of a planned and steady expansion as part of its strategy to expand its reach and comprehensive services across all sectors of the automotive industry in the Middle East and North Africa region. It is poised to leave a stronger footprint in this sector both inside and outside Kuwait in line with the latest global technological developments in the field.  Automak initially embarked on short and long-term leases of vehicles without a driver. In 2013, the company expanded its services to include vehicles with the driver. In 2015, it began providing cars and motorcycles for home delivery services to work with many major companies, such as McDonald's group of companies in Kuwait and others. The year 2017 also saw the expansion of Automak services to include the provision of school transport buses and a limousine service. The company intends to implement a similar strategy for expansion in Egypt during 2018 and 2019 and the introduction of home delivery and limousine services in addition to the taxi smart applications while maintaining comprehensive and progressive expansion in line with the progress and development of the developed societies in this domain.
